Born and raised in Port-au-Prince,Haiti, DJ Dirimix comes from a family with a musical background. Early on, he knew he would do something related to music later in life and his passion would show in his everyday life. He would spend hours watching his dad and uncle serenade with their guitar and could never get enough. He always wanted to learn how to play a musical instrument, especially the piano but this a goal he has not yet accomplished.
Looking back, he remembers coming home from school and spending hours listening to his favorite DJ on the radio and watching his brother play around with his DJ software. This is where the seed was planted for DJ Dirimix to develop a love for the art of DJ’ing. They would create mixed CDs and sell to the kids at school.

You GENIUS you!!! On my way to work this early a.m. I decided to listen to one of your mix album (Face To Face Vol.4). I went from 😪 to 😑😐😶😏 lol!!

DJ Dirimix moved the US in 2005 at the age of 15 but still was not able to put his passion of his into work. Nevertheless, his love for music was always there and his collection of music continued growing exponentially. Soon, he ran into a few guys in his entourage that were DJ’ing at events. Clearly, this was where he belonged; a friend and an eager learner. Hanging around these DJs, he picked up a DJ nickname of his own. It all started as a joke. One of his friends started it and it stuck ever since. He loves eating rice and Diri means Rice in Haitian Creole, and the rest is history.
DJ Dirimix always thought he had great ear for music and he felt compelled to share his sounds with everyone around him. Five years after moving here, he found the solution around late 2010. Equipped with all the right DJ’ing tools, he has been featuring his skills at diverse events. He has played weddings, anniversaries, and parties of all kinds. DJ Dirimix is known for his love music of all sorts, but especially Haitian music. We can attribute that to his childhood living in the islands. He is a young DJ mixed with an old soul. However, his versatility is what makes him one of the best open-format DJs in the game right now. You can count on him to perfectly blend sounds from Kompa, Zouk, Hip Hop, Reggae, Top 40, Dancehall, Soca, Afro beats, Latin, and Techno.
