DJ Dirimix moved the US in 2005 at the age of 15 but still was not able to put his passion of his into work. Nevertheless, his love for music was always there and his collection of music continued growing exponentially. Soon, he ran into a few guys in his entourage that were DJ’ing at events. Clearly, this was where he belonged; a friend and an eager learner. Hanging around these DJs, he picked up a DJ nickname of his own. It all started as a joke. One of his friends started it and it stuck ever since. He loves eating rice and Diri means Rice in Haitian Creole, and the rest is history.
DJ Dirimix always thought he had great ear for music and he felt compelled to share his sounds with everyone around him. Five years after moving here, he found the solution around late 2010. Equipped with all the right DJ’ing tools, he has been featuring his skills at diverse events. He has played weddings, anniversaries, and parties of all kinds. DJ Dirimix is known for his love music of all sorts, but especially Haitian music. We can attribute that to his childhood living in the islands. He is a young DJ mixed with an old soul. However, his versatility is what makes him one of the best open-format DJs in the game right now. You can count on him to perfectly blend sounds from Kompa, Zouk, Hip Hop, Reggae, Top 40, Dancehall, Soca, Afro beats, Latin, and Techno.
